One of the great things about Whitefish, and the Flathead Valley in general, is the art fairs that come to town. My figure skating days are behind me, meaning I no longer have to slave over a lemonade stand for hours at a time during such events, and can actually enjoy them.
This weekend was Huckleberry Days: a time when everyone (anyone?) who has at least 50 spare hours to pick one bucket of huckleberries gets together to sell her (and sometimes his) baked goods/jellies/ice cream… you get the picture. But in all seriousness, the art fair is usually a gold mine for cool jewelry and giant antler light fixtures. Also this year I spotted these awesome leather packs made in Missoula (above). If I can find them next time I’m in Missoula, I may have to get one for myself.
